Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)

Based on my families past experiences having worked countless hour in order to produce a moderate supply of food as farmers, I believe that many farmers then would have been impressed by the absences of nutrition foods ( example: corn, chicken, tomatoes . etc.) which has been provided by the addition of herbicides, pesticides and GMO today. However, what will be the long term effects of animal and human injections of these genetically modified plants. The answer to this is unclear at this time, due to the unknown effects of humans and animals, so I feel that the risks to our future generations are too great.

Even having that positive aspect of protecting against disease also pesticides, too increasing crops yields and preventing large qualities of insecticides in the environment. There are also many negative aspects when dealing with GMO's such as possible health risks, and the many human side effects that most doctors may or may not have treatment for to control the unfamiliar gene. The dangers of the unknown genes can lead to cancer, allergic reactions and many side effects that we are not aware of. Knowing the risks for us as consumers, we obtain no knowledge for exactly what we are eating whether or not they are genetically modified, it can still causes a threat to us and other living species to be consuming toxins and chemicals that we are unaware of.

Therefore, the unknown research that concerns with the GMO is introduced to the plant will somehow over time cause a change in our own human and animal structures, because of this, I do not support the use of GMO's in any produce.

GMO (Genetically Modified Organism)- An organism in which the genetic material has been modified to suit human purposes, often by the introduction of genes from other species
