When talking about GMOs (genetically modified organisms) there are many positives, such as disease resistance and inhanced nutrition, but there are also many negative aspects as well, such as unknown human effects and resistance building. In my opinion, GMOs in the foods we buy at grocery stores is bad because of the fact that the cons outweigh the pros. The use of GMOs in our products pose a number of issuses, for exapmle, they cause unknown human effects. By putting foreign genes into a product that is unfamiliar with it, could cause a bad reaction inside the product. If that happens, and the product is consumed, then the consumer could possibly have a negative reaction to the new gene and then doctors wouldn't have a treatment for it.

Another reason why GMOs are bad to have in foods is because they could cause allergic reactions when people eat them. Introducing a new gene into foods may cause unknown allergic reactions in people who may be susceptible to food allergies. If this happens, since it is a new gene, there may not be medications to treat the reaction, which is dangerous for the consumer.
Consider this the next time you're at the grocery store buy products, do I really know what is in my food?
